Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist guests with questions and requests
- Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately
- Perform maintenance and repairs appropriate with personal skill level and knowledge and managers approval
- Maintaining a clean and efficient work area including barn and bathrooms
- Leads guests on an organized and informative trail excursion
- Greets guests and provides an orientation on the proper operation of the snowmobiles and addresses all trail safety concerns
- Adheres to safety policies and procedures to ensure safety of guests
- Physically able to work in conditions that involve exposure to unusual elements and extreme temperatures, and sometimes strenuous work to help guest with machines
- Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
- Valid driver’s license and transportation
- Engaged and have knowledge of all the Ranch activities
- Willing to help where needed – Our success depends on the entire team
- All employees at Saddleback Ranch will cross train with tubing hill positions and be scheduled when needed
- Must represent Saddleback Ranch in a positive and professional manner
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an outfitter guide a plus
- Must have CPR and First Aid before starting
- Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
- Must be available to work flexible hours
- Excellent customer service, self-management and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail/ability to see tasks to completion in a timely manner
- Familiarity with and desire to learn new methods for using equipment

- Employment dates: mid-December through March depending on snow conditions
- Work Hours: Seasonal, part-time, full-time, full days, half days. Weekdays, Weekends, Holidays
- Wages: $15 – $17 per hour plus tips
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Attendants are responsible for evaluating & maintaining safe conditions of the tubing hill
- Must have CPR and First Aid before starting
- Provide safe, controlled, and friendly guest experience
- Understand varying hill conditions & take appropriate action to keep a safe environment
- Stop tubing operations & communicate with guests in a friendly manner if unsafe conditions exist
- Communicate to supervisor if unsafe conditions arise
- Make sure all signage is posted visible
- Be courteous with guests loading & unloading in the lift line
- Provide friendly instruction of loading & unloading tubes on the rope tow
- In the event of an injury, contact supervisor & assist as needed
- Check guest tubing tag times & effectively communicate bus departures & ticket time endings
- Monitor lift line operation
- Watch for tubers at base of hill, communicating to guests to avoid collisions
- Maintain snow levels on lift line, watching for ice & collision hazards
- Act as an Ambassador for Saddleback Ranch by greeting guests and keeping a positive attitude
- Complete daily log & operations inspection checklist
Physical Demands/ Work Environment
- Majority of job duties are outdoors, often in inclement weather, must be willing to work outside in winter conditions
- Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time
- Reach, bend, lift and willing to shovel, rake, and clear snow and chip ice
- Navigate snowy or slippery terrain
- Willingness to be flexible with working days, evenings, weekends, some holidays based on business needs
- Work in a constantly changing environment with emphasis on guest safety & satisfaction

- Greet customers at the counter
- Collect payments for activities
- Work in collaboration with office manager
- Daily paperwork and record keeping
- Help organize guide schedule

- Organized and neat while able to get tasks done quickly
- Communication with whole team
- Basic computer skills – typing, 10 key helpful

- Perform Pre and post trip inspections on vehicles
- Maintenance on vehicles within limitations outlined by manager
- Transportation of guests from Steamboat Springs Resort to Saddleback Ranch

- Possess an outgoing and personable attitude, you are the first face they meet for Saddleback Ranch
- Present yourself in a well-groomed and professional appearance
- Follow all safety policies
- Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests and coworkers
- Able to sit for long periods of time
- Be a part of the team while assisting with different aspects of the winter ranch work
i.e.: tubing hill lift line, assisting with drinks/food at serving counter
- Represent Saddleback Ranch in a positive and professional manner
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Hold a current Class B CDL with passenger endorsement
- Must meet insurability standards
- Must speak English clearly

- Daily horse care, saddling and tack maintenance
- Maintaining a clean and efficient work area including barn, tack room and bathrooms
- Greeting guests, taking out guided horseback rides
- Basic ranch maintenance (minor fence work, grounds keeping, ensuring a tidy appearance)
- Engaged and have knowledge of all the Ranch activities
