Dinner Sleigh Ride

Quick Details

There is nothing quite as peaceful as taking a sleigh ride at night with the only sounds being the horses walking through the snow, the bells jingling on the harness, and the distant howl of a coyote.

Relax, cuddle up with a nice, warm wool blanket (provided), and take a look at the stars and the moon’s light making the snow glisten like diamonds. It doesn’t get any better than this!

Take a 30-minute sleigh ride to the Double Dollar Lodge where you’re greeted with a warm cup of hot chocolate or hot apple cider and the smell of a delicious home-cooked meal.

After dinner, our cowboys give you a lesson in roping and you’re invited to join the challenge or watch as others will demonstration how fun and difficult it actually is. If time allows, we kick up our heels for a little dancing.

What to Wear

You’ll want to dress warmly since the area’s evening temperatures decrease steadily from those of the daytime hours. We recommend that you dress as you would to go out to dinner with layering items including: Jacket, gloves, scarf, hat, and warm boots. Keep in mind that you will only be outside for less than an hour and the lodge is kept at a comfortable temperature by our fireplace, so we encourage you to dress in layers that can be removed at the time of your dinner seating.  This ensures your comfort both on and off the sleigh. Blankets are provided to keep you cozy but you may want to dress your children in full snow suits.
